How much total revenue did Nepal succeed in earning by exporting electricity to India and Bangladesh in the fiscal year 2082/83 (BS)

According to the Nepal Electricity Authority, how much total revenue did Nepal succeed in earning by exporting electricity to India and Bangladesh in the fiscal year 2082/83 (BS)?

Answer: Rs. 29 billion 32 crore 47 lakh (NPR 29.3247 billion)

According to the Authority, Nepal earned more amount from selling electricity than from purchasing it, achieving a net trade surplus of Rs. 18 billion 76 crore 48 lakh (NPR 18.7648 billion) in a single year. This is more than four times higher compared to the previous year (Rs. 4 billion 53 crore / NPR 4.53 billion).

By exporting to the Indian market and, for the first time, to Bangladesh, Nepal sold over 3 billion 87 crore (3.87 billion) units of electricity at an average rate of Rs. 7.56 (7 rupees and 56 paisa) per unit, resulting in an increase of approximately 68 percent in export earnings compared to the previous year.
