In 1971, 52 countries in the world with low per capita income were included in the list of Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
To graduate, there is a provision requiring a country to meet any two of the three main indicators: PCI (Per Capita Income), HAI (Human Assets Index), and EVI (Economic and Environmental Vulnerability Index).
Special Provision: If a country's per capita income reaches triple the designated threshold—that is, $3,918 USD—it can graduate based on that single indicator alone.
